Project Development and Permitting Process
Charleston Country will follow the below process to develop the Main Road Corridor Projects.
The Project Development and Permitting Process requires the completion of the following:
- Public Input Throughout
- Development of Purpose and Need
- Development and Analysis of Alternatives
- Documentation of impacts
- Development Selection of a Preferred Alternative
- Preparation and Submittal of Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit Application and Permit Support Document to the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
- Revision of the Preferred Alternative (if needed)
- Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) USACE Permitting/Decision
